Robbie’s lab results have been stable. His hemoglobin is normal, platelets are normal, red blood cells are replenishing, good white blood cells are being produced naturally which raised his immunity up enough to take him off of the restrictive “low microbial” diet, & no cancer cells are present currently.

Because Robbie’s labs were so good he no longer needs to be under observation with the hospital. They removed the PICC line from his arm, so he no longer has a Robot arm…We still think his X-men powers are coming in though. We will miss the staff, they really cared and made sure Robbie was as healthy, comfortable, & happy as possible during the entirety of his 25 day stay.

Robbie is home with our family now.

He Rock N Rolled McDonald’s out of that oncology room bubble and back out into this big wide scary world.

Our kids were overjoyed to see him and received their Lego prizes from their dad. I think it’s extra special that their dad built them.

I did take Robbie to In N Out. The food was fresh and we ate it right after they made it. He ate 2 double doubles!! One of my cousins told me “his soul needed this”.

Moving on to the next chapter, which is continued care and navigating our new life and new normal. All I know is we will follow everything the Doc tells us to do but I want Robbie to Live. I want Robbie to live and be ans try to be happy. Everyone keeps telling me that this journey is going to extremely difficult and that I need to take care of my mental and physical health the best that I can.

I never want to falsely present ourselves individually or as a family as unflawed or “perfect”, that is not real and could not be further from the truth about us. We’ve made many, many, many, many, many, many mistakes… and will make many more, but we’ve also made some good choices. We constantly have to remind ourselves to slow down, take it one day at a time, and one thing at a time.

Robbie is not in remission and his body can choose at anytime to start producing cancer cells again that are disguised as white blood cells. God has control and all we can do is hope for the best and do what we can to help maintain Robbie’s health. There is a lot of discussion on possible treatments for Robbie that may not even include chemotherapy. Until we have updated data based on his frequent required labs, Robbie’s treatment will depend on that information as it comes.

Robbie’s eye is still blurry from the retinal hemorrhaging, but is getting better as his platelets go up. If you have reached out to Robbie via text, it may take a while for him to respond because he has trouble with blurriness in his eyes. I make sure he see’s all the comments and all the messages that his friends and coworkers are sending. I can say Robbie is a computer wiz in many ways and can figure things out very easily, but Robbie is not good with “Internet” or social media.

If it takes a while for him to respond, just know he is going over everything and responding the best and soonest he can. It may take us a little while to reach back out especially this next week.

We want to thank everyone family, friends, coworkers, acquaintances, & strangers who reached out.. Literally everyone for sending a positive message, saying a prayer, anyone who thought about us, sent good vibes, showed us love, showed us kindness, showed us compassion, donated, visited & just for anything and everything. It has made an impact on him personally and in his recovery. All of these things will continue to help as most of you may know, especially anyone who’s been affected personally by cancer that the cancer journey is long and it is not easy.
