We had been told in the past and recently after Robbie’s diagnosis that the cancer journey is a rollercoaster. We are really starting to understand what that means now. The highs are so high and the lows…… well they are as low as it gets.
The outpouring of love and support helps
during the lows. We want to thank everyone for the well wishes, the generous donations, and the genuine love, I don’t know if you truly understand how much that helps Robbie every day.
Yesterday was an anxious day. Robbie underwent a spinal tap to determine if cancer cells are present in his spinal fluid and was given a dose of chemo in his spine before results could be given, just in case. He then received his first round of weekly chemo via Picc line IV and he is excited to have a break for a week.
One of his nurses fought for Robbie to be able to see our daughter (Xochitl) the day before his spinal tap. She knew he really needed that, Robbie’s children are everything to him. She showed him the compassion he needed during one of his lowest times. We will never forget her and she’s another person who saw the light in him. Being away from our kids is the hardest thing he has to endure right now. Robbie loves so hard and lives to give his kids the world.
We want to thank everyone for the well wishes, support, love, & care packages… You all give him strength every day and we could never thank everyone
enough for loving Robbie and seeing the light in him.
